I am sorry, but if you think that beauty means cosmetics, then this post is not for you. For the majority of us who shiver at the thought of suffocating our skin with chemicals, this post is really a great help. The best part about these tips is that they are super easy to do, don’t suck up a lot of your time and above all- are super effective! What more could you ask for?

Oh and BTW, 3 of these tips are what I personally depend on for glowing like I used to at 23 (shh- don’t ask me how long ago that was)

Though make-up is used with an intention to appear more beautiful, presentable and of course younger than what we actually are, the real life effects are just the opposite. Believe me folks; we are fooling no one but ourselves. The more regularly you dump chemical cosmetics on to your skin, the earlier you are going to lose your beauty and natural glow.

Let Your Skin Breathe

The skin is a wonderful gift of The Almighty and it is meant to do various functions. Other than acting as a beautiful gift wrap covering our not so-sightly internal structures, it also doubles up as an excretory organ.

Dead skin cells, dust, sweat, sebum and the cosmetics you use can suffocate your skin by clogging the little sweat pores. The best way to keep these tiny little fellas open and your skin glowing naturally is to use a natural home-made scrub.

Moisture Helps; Dryness Ages

One thing your skin really needs is ample moisture. This is especially true for people over the age of 30. A well hydrated skin is the secret to a naturally glowing skin and dryness is its harshest enemy.

To keep your skin hydrated, drink adequate amounts of water and apply natural moisturizers like butter milk, yogurt, olive oil etc on your skin.

My favorite is warm olive oil which I gently massage into my skin and leave it on for about 30 mins. Wash it off with your favorite homemade scrub and warm water.

Worry Or Glow- Your Choice

No matter how much care we take of our skins, everything is a waste if we are habituated to constant stress and worry. Stress (both physical and mental) can take a toll on your skin, leaving it lusterless, dry and add plenty of wrinkles and years to your appearance.

Ask yourself if worrying is really worth losing your natural beauty and youthful appearance?

Adopt a daily relaxation routine like meditation, yoga or deep breathing exercises. Worry less, pray more, smile more, live more and of course glow more.

Protect Your Skin

Your skin is both sensitive and delicate. Exposure to pollution, dust, sun, harsh weather, too much of washing and scrubbing etc are factors that steal the natural glow away from your skin and make it lifeless and dull.

Use appropriate accessories to protect your skin like broad hats, sunshields, sunglasses and natural sunscreen like shea butter when you go out in the sun. Also maintain a healthy, balanced diet with more of vegetables, fruits and nuts to nourish and protect your skin from the inside.
